Biography

I am a User Experience practitioner with a passion for creativity, technology, and usability.  I have a background in Human-Computer Interaction and media studies.  My work over the past several years has focused on the design and production of software and Web sites.  As an interaction designer and information architect, I create documentation that specifies architectural characteristics of user interfaces, such as site maps, flow charts, and wireframes.  As a usability analyst, I design and conduct user studies and build prototypes for usability testing.  As a user researcher, I carry out ethnographic studies, card sorting, and define user personas, stories, and goals.

I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in May of 2003 with a Master of Science in Human-Computer Interaction.  There I had the opportunity to work with numerous talented people in the Graphics, Visualization, and Usability Center (GVU), the College of Computing, the School of Psychology and the School of Literature, Communication, and Culture (LCC).  I became interested in HCI as an undergraduate at the University of Texas at Austin while completing coursework and research in the Department of Radio-TV-Film as a member of the ACTLab.
